Notes:

Within six months of passing the ServSafe Manager Exam, you must complete the state's online application, pay the fee with a credit card, and download your state certificate. The state no longer accepts paper checks or paper applications.

Managers are required to retake the ServSafe Manager Exam if more than six months have passed since their last passing score in order to obtain a state certificate.

Recertification Requirements:

  • 4 hours of continuing education
  • Renewal application
  • $35 application fee

Proof of continuing education must be provided to the Minnesota Department of Health. The ServSafe Manager Online Course Record of Training is accepted as proof.

If 4 hours of continuing education are not completed before the certification expiration date, the individual must retake an initial course exam and provide proof of a passing score.
