Colorado Responsible Vendor Training Program (RVTP)
Colorado’s Responsible Vendor Training Program (RVTP) is a voluntary statewide program,
though some municipalities and licensing authorities require it locally. The program helps
reduce violations and promote responsible alcohol service.
Training must be completed within 90 days of hire, and certification is valid for
3 years. Some areas, such as parts of Boulder, may require classroom or in-person
training depending on local regulations.
Certivance does not currently offer Colorado RVTP training. We recommend the approved

Ensures consistent training for all employees, reducing preventable service mistakes.
