Alabama Responsible Vendor Program (RVP)
The Alabama Responsible Vendor Program is a voluntary, state-run training and
certification program for alcohol licensees. The program is administered by the
Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Board and is designed to promote legal,
responsible alcohol sales and service.
Licensees that participate in the program must train all employees who are involved
in the management, sale, service, or dispensing of alcoholic beverages. Training
typically covers Alabama alcohol laws, age verification, civil and criminal
penalties, and practical techniques to reduce risk when serving alcohol.
