Certivance Class Policy & Terms of Enrollment
    Effective Date: August 10, 2025
These terms outline the policies governing enrollment, payment, attendance, and certification for all Certivance® classes — including in-person and remote learning formats. By enrolling, you agree to these terms in full.

    1. Enrollment and Payment

      - Enrollment may be completed online at Certivance.com or by phone with a Certivance representative.

      - Enrollment is considered confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.

      - Payments are securely processed through Certivance’s authorized systems. We accept credit and debit cards; additional payment options (e.g., ACH or Buy Now Pay Later) may be available at checkout.

      - Enrollment confirmations and invoices are accessible through your My Certivance portal.

    2. Rescheduling

      - Learners may reschedule once at no charge if the request is submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled class or exam.

      - Additional reschedule requests are subject to a non-refundable 5% administrative fee based on the enrollment value.

      - Reschedule requests must be submitted via My Certivance or through our Customer Service Channels (chat, email, or phone).

    3. Cancellations and Refunds

      - All sales are final. Certivance does not issue refunds for any class or exam enrollment.

      - In limited cases, and at Certivance’s sole discretion, an account credit may be issued. Credits are:

          - Non-transferable

          - Valid only for Certivance-hosted classes

          - Must be used within 12 months of issuance

      - Certivance partners with Purchase Protection LLC, allowing learners to protect their registration against unexpected events. Purchase Protection handles all claims, verifications, and refunds directly with the registrant. For details, visit PurchaseProtection.com. Certivance makes no claims, endorsements, or guarantees regarding this third-party coverage.

    4. Attendance and Registration

      - Identification Requirement: All learners must verify their identity to confirm enrollment.

          - Remote learners verify identity using Stripe Identity before class begins.

          - In-person learners must present a valid, government-issued photo ID at check-in — this is a ServSafe® exam requirement and mandatory for participation.

      - Please arrive 15 minutes before the class start time to complete registration.

      - Learners arriving 15 minutes or more after the start time may be denied entry and treated as a no-show, subject to this policy.

    5. Certificates
    In-Person Classes

      - Certificates are posted to My Certivance once results are released.

      - Printed certificates are available as an optional $10 service, which includes printing, lamination, and mailing.

    Remote Classes

      - Certificates are posted directly to the learner’s ServSafe® account once results are released.

      - Certivance does not have access to remote exam certificates; learners can retrieve them directly at ServSafe.com.

    6. Retesting

      - Learners who do not achieve a passing score may schedule a retest in accordance with ServSafe® retesting policies.

      - Each retest requires a new enrollment and payment of applicable fees.

      - Retesting is limited to two attempts within 30 days; additional attempts require a 60-day waiting period, with a maximum of four attempts per 12-month period.

    7. Corporate & Group Enrollments
Corporate or group enrollments are governed by the terms outlined in the applicable service agreement, which may include unique conditions or pricing.

    8. ServSafe® Affiliation Disclaimer
Certivance is not affiliated with ServSafe® or the National Restaurant Association (NRA). Certivance is an authorized provider of ServSafe® training and exam proctoring services and adheres to the official policies and procedures established by the NRA and ServSafe®. All ServSafe® trademarks, logos, and certification materials remain the property of their respective owners. In accordance with our provider agreement, Certivance may report exam misconduct or suspected cheating directly to the National Restaurant Association.

    9. Pass Protection by Certivance
Pass Protection is a value-added, optional service available to learners enrolled in a remote class. By purchasing Pass Protection, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

      - Non-transferable and non-refundable. Once purchased, Pass Protection cannot be transferred or refunded under any circumstance.

      - No guarantee of success. Pass Protection does not guarantee a passing score or certification outcome. It provides supplemental learning support and a reduced-cost retest opportunity.

      - Program coverage.

          - One (1) ProctorU-proctored retest, and

          - One (1) 30-minute review session with a Certivance Consultant to review your exam results summary, discuss improvement areas, and prepare for retesting.

      - Delivery method. Review sessions are conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams. Learners must email their consultant a copy of the domain summary from their ServSafe account (remote learners only). In-person learners do not need to submit this information; Certivance retains the necessary exam data.

      - Limited in-person availability. Learners purchasing this protection who lack computer or reliable internet access may complete their retest and consultation in person. Only the consultation and retest costs are covered under Pass Protection. Learners are responsible for any additional travel or setup expenses. If a Certivance Consultant must travel to the learner’s location, a flat travel fee of $75.00 applies.

      - Limitation of liability. Certivance’s total liability related to Pass Protection shall not exceed the amount paid for the service. Certivance is not responsible for technical failures, scheduling conflicts, or actions of third-party proctors.

    10. Organizer-Initiated Changes
Certivance reserves the right to reschedule, change venues, or substitute instructors if necessary. If a class must be canceled outright, affected learners will receive an account credit valid toward future classes. Refunds are not provided.

    11. Weather & Emergencies
In the event of inclement weather or emergencies, in-person classes may be rescheduled or converted to a remote format. Registrations will automatically transfer to the new date or delivery method. No refunds will be issued for weather-related changes.

    12. No-Show Policy
Learners who fail to attend their scheduled class or arrive more than 15 minutes late without prior rescheduling will be marked as a no-show. No-shows are not eligible for credits, transfers, or retests.

    13. Accessibility & Accommodations
Certivance provides reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable laws. Learners must submit accommodation requests at least five (5) business days prior to their class by contacting Certivance Support with appropriate documentation.

    14. Exam Integrity
Any form of cheating, recording, or unauthorized sharing of exam content is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in removal from class, invalidation of scores, ineligibility for future exams, and reporting to the National Restaurant Association in accordance with ServSafe® provider policies.

    15. Payment, Chargebacks & Fees
Chargebacks or failed payments will place the learner’s account on hold until resolved. Additional payment options such as ACH or Buy Now Pay Later may vary by class. Prices, fees, and payment methods are subject to change without prior notice.

    16. Privacy & Data Use
Certivance uses learner information solely for delivering training, proctoring, certification, and required compliance reporting. For more details, please review our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
