Alabama Food Handler Requirements

Alabama does not have a statewide food handler training requirement. However, Jefferson County and Mobile County both enforce their own local food handler training rules.

For all other counties, food handler training is not required, but it is strongly recommended for food employees who are not required to hold a Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification.
